How To Grow Yellow Eyed Grass From Ornamental Grass Seeds: Golden Eyed Grass seeds do well with a cold treatment. The ornamental grass seeds can be sowed in a cold frame outdoors in early spring, or moisten some peat moss, place the peat moss and seeds into a ziploc plastic bag and place in the refrigerator for 2 weeks. Then, sow the Sisyrinchium californicum seeds indoors, pressing the seeds down into the soil and keeping them moist. Transplant out after danger of frost has passed.
