Description
Mino Early is a long-time favorite of Japanese Daikon radish. This variety is widely planted in Japan from late summer through fall. Plants mature 40 days after sowing. The root is 18-24 inches long, pure white and slightly tapered. White flesh is very crispy and tender with mild pungency.
CULTURE: Daikon radishes require friable, well drained soils with a pH range of 5.8-6.8. Work soil deeply, in raised beds if possible, for straight roots and ease of harvest. Sow 2″ apart, thinning to 4-6″ apart, rows 24″ apart. Note planting seasons in variety
