This Heirloom Sweet Frying Pepper is an Italian Classic!

This variety is the largest of the sweet stuffing peppers. Large, sturdy plants (Which can grow to a height of up to 4 feet!) produce plentiful amounts of 8-12 inch long, tapered fruits that resemble a bull horn, hence the name. This variety is similar to the yellow variety although these peppers turn deep crimson red when ripe. They have the same sweet and spicy flavor, and are not hot at all. Fruits are about 1 1/2 inches wide at the shoulder and feature thick meaty inside flesh. They are wonderful roasted or eaten fresh. These are a traditional favorite in Italy and since I first got some seeds, they have been a favorite of mine as well. You will get a bountiful harvest from this variety!

I always add a few extra seeds in each packet in case I count wrong.
Peppers often like to take their sweet time germinating. They can be up in a week, and some will take almost a month. Even with paper towel germination testing, they can take long. Iâm not sure why, but it is a normal occurrence. So plan ahead and make sure you start them early enough! Also remember they like heat to germinate so make sure you have a heating mat or something to keep the soil warm. Placing them up on top of the fridge often works too since it is normally warmer up there.
Peppers do very well grown in pots.
