Known as the greatest ‘sauce’ tomato in the world. San Marzano tomatoes, a variety of plum tomatoes, are considered by many chefs to be the best paste tomatoes in the world.
Vigorous vines offer good cover, produce clusters of intensely red fruit that hold wll on the vine or in storage. Fruit resist cracking and are excellent for paste, puree, or canning due to high solids.

Vegetable Planting: Sow seeds indoors before last frost. Plant seeds about 1/4; under soil surface, then transplant seedlings to garden with 30′ – 36′ between plants.
Vegetable Seed Saving: Allow tomatoes to over-ripen on plants; then collect seeds. Let seeds ferment in the tomato. Clean and dry the seeds before storage in cool dry conditions.
