Aster (Callistephus Tall Double Gremlin Red) – Attract some attention to your flower borders and start some Aster seeds! Aster Callistephus will definitely attract lots of attention as they are tall with large, double blooms that are incredibly showy. These red Aster flowers are huge and have many petals giving them the appearance of a tiger’s paw. Tiger Paw Aster is another name that they are often called. This variety has a strong, upright growth habit and reaches nearly 30 inches in height.
Plan on starting the Aster seeds indoors 6 – 8 weeks before the end of frost season. The flower seeds should be gently pressed into the soil and covered lightly. Keep the Aster seeds moist until germination occurs. Transplant the young Aster plants into the garden in a full sun to partial shade location
