Petite Yellow
(Citrullus lanatus)
The earliest watermelon that we offer and we think the best tasting too. Well adapted to short growing areas. A delicious icebox watermelon, 2-3 pounds each. One of the sweetest of all watermelons, edible right down to the rind. Has a tendency to crack when ripe or when you try to cut the fruits. Some see this as a drawback, but we cannot let this dampen our enthusiasm for this variety. For home use or for very carefully packed in straw and hand carried to market. 65 days.
